Pair of wonderfully graphic vintage Italian ceramic serving platters by Baldelli, circa 1970s.
Designed specifically for serving artichokes, the round platter features three molded compartments for arranging the artichoke, discarded leaves, dipping sauce or accompaniments. The creamy speckled glaze is framed by hand-painted terracotta red and deep green bands, with the word “artichoke” boldly scripted across the surface in black.
