This engraving was published by John Trumbull in New York on January 1, 1808, engraved by James Mitan and printed by Andrew Maverick. The scene depicts the death of General Joseph Warren during the Battle of Bunker Hill and is among Trumbull’s best-known Revolutionary War compositions.
